What were you thinking?

After PN read my short blog about global warming posted in September, she commented and recommended I watch ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. Later, we bought this DVD in a shop but hadn’t yet opened it, because we chose to watch other DVDs that we continued bringing back home. (Mankind seems to have a lot of bad habits like this. Global warming? This is not my business/issue; don’t worry about it yet!) Yesterday, we didn’t have much choice; some DVDs I had watched but Steve hadn’t and some DVDs I haven’t watched but Steve already had… Then we chose this DVD that both of us haven’t watched yet…

After we watched it, I liked the person who talked about the climate crisis, Al Gore, who is the former Vice President of America. Unfortunately, he lost the presidential election to George Bush. I think if Al Gore had become the president, he probably wouldn’t have gone to war with other countries?

We really need to take care of our big environment… I hope a sentence in this DVD will remind us: “Future generations may well have occasion to ask themselves, ‘What were our parents thinking? Why they didn’t wake up when they had a chance?’ We have to hear that question from them, now.”
