Thankful

America has a few big celebrations every year, the biggest being Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday in November and Christmas.

Thanksgiving is a day to remember the things for which we are thankful; the happiest is being together with family. Normally, the foods include turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, and pumpkin pie.

When we arrived in Kansas City, we saw they had a light snow overnight outside Steve’s mom’s house. We were invited by Sue’s brother-in-law to their house to have Thanksgiving dinner… A very wonderful day!
The day after Thanksgiving is ‘Black Friday’… You know what that is? It is the start of the Christmas shopping season, and many big stores have very big sales, some starting at 4am; they are crowded by early birds… Sue woke up around 3.15am and got this Christmas tree; just one of her ‘prizes’…
