Real world

We just watched a DVD of 'A Beautiful Mind' which won 4 Academy Awards in 2001: Best picture, best director (Ron Howard), best producer (Brian Grazer) and best supporting actress (Jennifer Connelly).

It is a true story of the inner world of Dr. John Forbes Nash who is a brilliant mathematician… His mind was always filled with mathematical theories but little comprehension of social interaction. When he was in the university, a roommate with a personality opposite his came in to his world… After he graduated and became a professor, a secret agent came to him, and he becomes a spy, decoding hidden messages… He again met the roommate, this time with a little girl; she has no parents, but is the niece of his roommate… During this, he also meets a lady who is his student. They fall in love and get married… But his life is always on the brink with these three persons: the secret agent, his former roommate and the roommate’s niece. He becomes entangled in a mysterious conspiracy… He is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, but couldn’t be healed, because he thought all three of these persons and events were real… His wife never gave up on him and helped him get back to his life as a professor again… In 1994, he won the Nobel Prize in Economics. In fact, he still had paranoid schizophrenia but he got better at trying to conquer it… He said the only reason he won the Nobel Prize was because love; love from his wife!

Paranoia is a mental disorder symptom, it is not like some people told that they be bewitched. A person who has schizophrenia needs much love and support from their family and friends!
