It was around 11am on 1/7 Sunday, when we went to a restaurant with a ‘Dim Sum’ weekend buffet, which was recommended by a friend. This restaurant served many types of food but was a little expensive. We felt very full after the buffet. Are we greedy? We think it is worth it to pay a fixed price if we eat more food. Perhaps not. I thought I just took a tiny amount of each kind of food; I didn’t even have some types of food…but I wonder why I still got very full? I really don’t understand…

After we were full, we went to the new location of the Fo Guang Shan temple. Previously this building was a church. It is now a Buddhist temple. Does that mean Buddhism is becoming popular here? Statistics showed that Buddhism in the US is increasing every year. Although the temple hasn’t completed renovation, they have already started some activities there. Steve is going to attend the Chinese class. The Chinese class will be in six lessons, two hours every Sunday. The fee is USD60. It is conducted by a professor and the class has 6 students. The person in charge of the class knows Steve, and he was nice enough to let me sit in the class. Haha! I was learning together with them to pronounce Chinese ‘pin yin’ – bo, po, mo, fo…

Some volunteers were working a waterfall for a pond at the side of the temple. Steve helped before and after his class…
