Labor Day & Festival

(Greek Festival)

Japanese FestivalBotanical Garden

Greek Festival

Asam Laksa

The moon was still half awake at 10.30 that morning…

Every year, the first Monday in September is Labor Day here. This weekend was the Japanese Festival and Greek Festival.

The Japanese Festival is held every year in the Botanical Garden… they have a flower exhibition, Sumo wrestling, ice sculpture, cutting a chopstick with paper, the Candyman, etc.

We saw a small Buddha fountain in the Botanical Garden’s gift shop; it wanted to come home with us…

The objective of the Greek Festival is to eat…so it is mostly food stalls. We bought some pastries…

I was being silly and asked Steve, “Do they have a Malaysian Festival in St. Louis?” I think I miss Penang food again, ah…Asam Laksa
