Malaysia - Penang part 2

 1.1.2018 New Year ~ Hiking day.

元旦。 
不管你快不快樂、要不要新的一年到來，由不得你說。

我是快樂的。
你快樂嗎?

Penang is the second biggest city in Malaysia. 

I grew up on Penang island. From this picture, you can see the mainland at the other side of straits. 

我們在這天約了去爬山，Seng 帶我們經過幾個菜園，幾間神廟等等，景色優美的亞依淡山。

First time we saw a big spider with long legs and bright colors, I think it must be poisonous. It was having lunch.

We walked, crossing half way up Penang Hill. The funicular takes people up and down the hill. Penang Hill is one of the popular tourist attractions.

4小時半的上山下山..
我沒運動很久了，两支腿的肌肉在斜下山時很吃力，痛呀！
不知還要痛幾天啊！

我認識的人很少住北海，她是。
她帶我逛北海斗母宮夜市。

走在食物區時，有人賣榴槤，Kampung 種的 durian, RM18/Kg。

潤玲愛唱K，有得唱不用吃也可以，她一直點歌一直唱...唱足4個小時。哈哈…我們又唱又跳，很盡興。

Karaoke..  Dancing as well. 

很想念我們小學的歌后秀金的歌聲，她太忙，沒法抽身來給我們献唱。那我們就到她的 ReSpa 去找她。
ReSpa 的空間很大，有 Heritage spa, massage, beauty, salon, karaoke, mini cinema, games room, kids playroom, restaurant... 真是適宜大人小孩娱樂、休閑之處。

從睡醒就下雨，到晚上沒雨了，我大姐及姐夫就帶我去走北海附近的大伯公夜市，只有幾個攤位，很少。

My sister and brother-in-law drove me to a night market at another Taoist temple, not many hawkers.

又去斗母宫的夜市，那就有很多攤位。

幾個喜歡吃吃喝喝的同學，就約了聚一聚。

Breakfast with schoolmates.

Then we continued with brunch.

那天 Seng 跟我們說，有一個神秘的山路，有沙灘，有一顆很大很美的樹，很少人知道怎麼去的，問我們要不要去。
要要要，我們約他星期六半天下班後，帶我們去。
先去吃7色飯。噢不，我們不要普通白飯，是6色咯。

We had a seven colors rice before hiking.

走進小路。Cindy 看到椰林沙灘，她說很像Hawaii。
這不是特色。

Wow.. 嘩嘩嘩…我們情不自禁，驚嘆連連。

如果要等，還可看日落。
我們沒等..太陽，就說 Bye-bye。

晚我們去看看彩燈，人潮不斷。

一個月一次的蔓慢市集。

My friend, Phaik Suan demonstrated making Kuih Bahulu at Man Man market. 

朋友聚聚。

Met a couple of friends for brunch at hawker food court.

Then met another group of friends for dinner.

A Buddhist temple near my sister's house, she went walking there every morning.  

跟我姐在北海佛教會内走，我的血壓 158/97，走十幾圈也不能降，害得我沒得再吃榴槤。
我的好朋友 Christy 原本今天請假要帶我去浮羅吃榴槤的，取消了。
榴槤會讓血壓高的嗎？

I walked with her a few times.

我們經過 PISA，Cheng Bee 說裝修得很美，她就帶我進去看看。現在換成 SPICE ?

傍晚又再與同學見面，素食。

Met schoolmates in a vegetarian restaurant, we had the desserts after dinner.

走在人行走道，看到一條漂亮的毛蟲。拍了照，想到牠可能會被人踩到，把牠移置在有土葉的地方，願牠來生往生善道。

托潤玲的聯系，與我的舊鄰里~玉裳見面。
一見面就談起兒時的故事…我住打石街，她住海墘新路，不遠，但沒有在一起玩兵捉賊、捉迷藏、老鹰捉小雞、kalitui、ahjilo… 所以彼此不熟。反而因為潮洲會館她跟我姐有參與，他們比較熟。
然後我說想看《海墘新路》，她爽快的答應晚上讓我去她家看戲。

吃完早餐去菜市走一下，遇到財神~發啊！見者有份發發發！

她看到榴槤，問我要吃嗎？我說我很想吃但血壓高不敢吃啊！
嘩，有山竹，山竹可以降血壓嗎？
不管了，我買一公斤 mangosteen（RM13/kg）來吃。

玉裳家的影幕好大，很享受。看完電影《海墘新路》，玉裳還和我們分享故事… 可是夜了必須回家。

希望下次我再回來檳城，能再聚聊。

再感謝潤玲及秀菁，昨晚載我去玉裳家及回北海。

血壓148/96，有降一點。

清湯苦瓜麵，好像北海才有。

下午我要去 KL 咯，相公乘的航機晚上到 KL。他想念他的夫人。

I had noodle soup and Malaysia black coffee for breakfast. 

3:30 p.m. on 11.1.2018, I took express train to KL to meet Steve.
