Malaysia - Penang part 1

其實，這次臨時决定回來檳城是感恩 Phaik Sze 幫我報名了 Ajahn Brahm 的 9天禪修，據說每年都爆满，而我們被錄取了。

Meditation retreat led by Ajahn Brahmavamso (19-27 Dec 2017) for which my friend registered me, after I decided to go back to Penang to attend. 

Other activities were bonuses!

Snack - Rojak.

Durian (RM25/kg) from Batu Rumah at Balik Pulau.

Durian is actually supposed to be an extremely healthy fruit, very high in potassium.

Primary schoolmates gathering for dinner at Perut Rumah Nyonya Restaurant. 

A hawker in Butterworth selling 'XO' durian (RM35/kg), he said these durians were from Pahang. 

Christy and I went to visit KK. He cooked lunch and made coffee for us. So nice.

My brother's grand-kids. 

我三哥嫂的四個内外孫，叫他們排排坐，還真不容易呢。

三嫂自家煮的 laksa，真材實料，魚肉又多，絕對比外頭賣的更好吃。

We had a wonderful time and great lunch.

感謝梅娟一家大小，見到他們真高興。

我們的話題談到天南地北。

然後他們放我去三慧講堂。一星期的禪修。

I attended the retreat in Triple Wisdom Hall which my sister registered me for.

The 7 days retreat, 10-17 Dec 2017.

三慧講堂從2014年就邀請法力比丘教禪，這已是第4年。

禪師是華裔泰國人，英語講課，簡單風趣。翻譯華語的是空岩法師，流利順暢。

對禪師的止、觀講解，我有較多的了解，很有收獲。只可惜在實修時段，禪師都没與學員一起禪修，我想若有禪師在實修時引導我們，那會更好。

認識空岩法師是在美國的美中佛教會。那天在美國 St Louis 機埸遇到法師， 這麼巧同一天飛回馬來西亞，她說她是參加法力比丘的禪修，我說我也有報名參加後7天的。

我在禪修營時才知道她是來做14天的翻譯，可見很謙虚，她的中、英語都非常棒。

禪修營最後一天，拿回錢包和手機，就拍下幾張照。

禪修功德迥向認識及不認識的人，看到及看不到的众生，願快樂、和諧及安寧。

KK 問我和Christy 要去 Rumah Batu 吃榴槤嗎？當然！Christy 正要清休假日，就請假約好這天去。

不知怎麼禪修的最後幾天我就喉嚨不舒服，聲音沙啞。我也不管還照吃榴槤，以毒攻毒。反正明天又要去另一個禪修，不須說話。
我說Christy 是孝順的媳婦，她笑得見牙不見眼。

Durain tree. 榴槤熟了自然會掉下來。

又到 KK 家小坐，也見到 Moyu。我沒聲音，但我們也談了不少的話，都是他們談的多。

來到浮羅又少不掉laksa。

我的同學Cindy 在浮羅有間民宿，很開心能和她聚一會。

My schoolmate, Cindy has a home-stay business.

Christy 回憶起她曾在 Pulau Betong 看到美麗的日落，帶我們來看，可惜今天有厚厚的雲。

晚餐在公芭，satay 特别。

在北海等公車, 見到對面一位駕電單車的印度人，偷開鎖一輛停在路邊的wira車，他伸身進車搜一下，手拿一件東西出來後，又關鎖回車門，我本來想要拍照他及motor牌，但他望向我，也來不及拍他。哎，真是猖狂！

我現在渡輪上。

這是每次 Ajahn Brahm 都會嘻嘻哈哈呵呵的。我從沒見過這麼展現快樂的禪師，他散發的慈心，讓人感覺很舒服。

尋尋索索，希望能遇到老師，對自己的禪修有更好的指引... 我很有福報。

9天禪修完全没壓力，我很喜悦。

Meditation retreat by Ajahn Brahmavamso (19-27 Dec 2017) was so relaxing. 

I have been looking for a meditation teacher for a while. I found one.

I tried to set up. Finally Joe is interested and came to visit during Christmas break.

Lily & her husband invited me to lunch.

她兒子打電話給她時，她說：我們在北海，我和我的老同學見面...

她怕我不方便過去檳島，要老公帶她來北海聚一下。而且他們也很忙，抽空前來。

她說，以後我再回來檳城一定得告知她，每回來都得見見。

我很感動。

Met my schoolmate and ex-colleague, Sharon for lunch. She has a laundry business. 

電影成長團體。

I attended a movie event organised by a friend.

我們到早年小朋友的家喝茶，小朋友已有一個更小的朋友。
早年認識大忠小朋友只11、12歲。。現在認識更小的1歲小朋友。就是這樣一年年的增長。

Our young friend, now he has a little one younger than him.  

晚間火炭爐迎接元旦。
