27th Annual POW WOW

27th Annual POW WOW
Saturday, March 25, 2017

I bought a pendant, US$1.

Hi Joan. Neither of us were out there dancing. :-) This was the 27th Annual Pow Wow in St. Louis - a gathering of a bunch of native American tribes, and this was part of the dance competition. I had never heard about the event, until a filler piece on the news this morning.

Yeah, at old time, even the native people they lived far apart like in America and Asia, but they had some common eg. cloth, decoration, dance, ritual...

I was there one year and learned that there are POW WOWs every weekend through out the country. :)

I was surprised I'd never heard of it before. They also had flyers for "Native American markets", near Cahokia Mounds in April, and in St. Charles in November.

Someone told me the Native American Indian and Chinese/Asian are related. Look at their eyes.

check out the story. It was believed the ancestor came from Asia. I think the latest finding showed the DNA also point to European+Middle East.

Huh
That day I looked at those Native American, I said to Steve, they reminded me of those Native Chinese tribes, they seemed have some common feature... :) My thought is close.
