Thanks for Steve giving me a birthday trip.

First stop at George Rogers Clark National Historic Site in Indiana. George Rogers Clark looks very heroic. He fought in the American Revolution in the 1770s.

The memorial was built in the 1930s, at that time, they had a fascination with oriental art. The building had 3 types of marble.

After that we drove to West Virginia State Capitol in Charleston, but it was already closed.

This area is mainly for boating, the buses bring groups to the river.

The state parks in West Virginia are very beautiful and there is no fees.

The way to Seneca Cavern, but they were closed. The scenery is beautiful everywhere we drove.

Shenandoah National Park - Hazel Mtn Overlook

The weather was not great, that was a lot of fog. 

The clouds are like tourist groups. They are huge, block everyone's view and stay too long. And the clouds don't even have to pay the entrance fee. But at lease the clouds are quiet. 

We only stopped at a few overlooks that were not in the clouds.

Shenandoah National Park- Tunnel Overlook. Waiting for a ride. 

The views from the overlooks are beautiful when the clouds are gone. The ranger at the visitor center said today was the best day for the past 5 days.

The park has bus service from the visitor center to the historic site.

There were many locks Iocked to the bridge. How did they put the lock so far out?

When we were in Hopewell Furnace Historic Site visitor center, Steve pointed this ♡ glass to me. So it is going home with us.

Steve's pilgrimage to Lancaster Archery Supply. He is so excited when in the store.

Steve went for another pilgrimage - Hershey's Chocolate World. 

The free tour amused me. We enjoyed the first tour, after shopping, we went for a second time since there was no line. Smile and get your picture at the end of tour, they took our picture.

The bell and lamps were shaped like Hershey Kisses. The amusement park is closed.

Gettysburg National Military Park - Pennsylvania Memorial

While we were going to our next destination, we ran across Catoctin Mountain Park (National Park), and the visitor center is open, I got a stamp.
