I had some ants problem this week too. There was an army of ants going after something in my composter. They were very busy for a few days right on our entry way. I tried to use the white vinegar/water solution, it worked one night, then didn't work the next day. So I gave up and decided to live with the ants. The next morning, the ants were gone completely. They must have finished their jobs. I think the best thing to do is to keep the floor clean, and store anything sweet in a tight container. I noticed that ants can smell the honey on my counter. When I moved the honey away from the wall, they did not come in anymore. Try lemon juice or lemon peel around their nests, it will keep them at bay.

About 2 days ago, they were climbing on the lemon peel that was on the counter. Our ants are fearless! :)
