Challah

I think making bread is also one of the arts, like make pottery. They are fun to make by hand; touching, kneading, shaping...
I have my homemade whole wheat bread every morning.
But this week, we tried making a different one -  Challah, a Jewish bread.

Steve divided the dough into 4 strands, and he couldn't figure out to braid them.

I helped him out.

Then we brushed with an egg wash and sprinkled poppy seeds.

Quality control samples.
I toasted the bread and ate it with butter for breakfast.
